Bulk Transfers to NameBright

We just deployed a new transfer process for automating bulk transfers of domain names between registrars.  If you are transferring hundreds or thousands of domains and having issues with the process, contact us directly and ask about our bulk transfer processes.  We can help automate collection of authorization codes (if sent via email), and can now help you automate the approval of FOA emails.  If your current registrar is not helping you as they should – give NameBright a try!

Minor Upgrade In Progress

Due to reports that our website had issues on Sunday night we are currently making a patch to fix this. Please note this only affects our website at http://www.NameBright.com and DNS servers are still up and running and having no issues. Your domains and email will continue to work as expected while the frontend of our site gets this needed upgrade. We will update this post when the upgrade is complete.

NameBright was Not Affected by Heartbleed Bug

If you have not already been made aware, a major SSL security issue was uncovered this week.  We wanted to update our customers that NameBright does not use or rely on OpenSSL, and therefore our systems are unaffected from the Heartbleed security bug.  You can remain confident in our security protocols and nothing needs to be done on your end.

Quick update, be back online shortly

We are upgrading a minor items in our database and had to go offline for a few minutes. DNS is working, email is working, all customer sites are working. The frontend of NameBright.com will be back up very shortly.

November Promo Extended Through End of the Year

The low $4.99 .com new-registration promotion we ran during November is most likely going to be extended all the way through the end of the year!  We will keep you updated as we finalize the details, but you can expect the same low price promo in December once again!

Paypal Payments Now Accepted!

The number one request we have gotten after launch has been about accepting Paypal.com payments.  We just launched the ability to pre-fund accounts using Paypal.com directly.

Please note to do this you have to navigate to My Account > My Settings > Billing > Add Funds.

We hope to have Paypal.com payments in the shopping cart in the next few weeks, but for now adding funds will allow people who only use Paypal.com to get in and start using the system!
